The problem
Native Odoo purchase orders only track RFQ, Purchase Order, Done, and Cancelled — four coarse states that hide the real internal workflow: budget approval, vendor negotiation, management sign-off, and waiting on goods. Buyers, managers, and approvers lose track of where an order actually sits and who owns the next step, and fall back on spreadsheets, tags, and free-text notes to compensate.
