The problem
As a product catalog grows past a couple dozen categories nested three or four levels deep, Odoo's flat category list stops working. You cannot see the shape of the tree, cannot tell how deep a branch runs, and must open records one by one to understand parent-child relationships, turning routine reorganizing into a slow, error-prone chore.

Browse the full category tree with expand/collapse, per-node depth badges, color dots, tag chips, and direct-child and branch-product counts, so you always know where you are and how big each branch is.
Drag-and-Drop Reparenting
Move a category or an entire sub-tree to a new parent by dragging it in the tree view, instead of opening each record and editing its parent field one at a time.
Bulk Category Move
Select multiple categories from the list or kanban view and reparent all of them in a single action, with a built-in guard that blocks moving a category under its own descendant.
Instant Search & Highlight
Type a category name to jump straight to it. The tree expands automatically and highlights the matching node, even in the deepest structures.
