Live Availability At The Counter
Before confirming a booking, staff see exactly how many units are free and any conflicting reservations for the chosen dates, so the same drill or speaker can never be promised to two customers.
Blended Day/Week/Month Pricing
Rental rates are configured per hour, day, week, and month on each product. A greedy pricing engine automatically resolves the cheapest correct combination, for example nine days as one week plus two days, and shows the breakdown before payment.
Deposits Taken, Refunded Or Forfeited
Configurable per-product deposit amounts are taken as an explicit step at checkout and held against the rental. On return, staff refund or forfeit the deposit as a visible, guided action instead of a hidden background field.
Automated Late Fees On Return
Overdue rentals accrue a configurable per-day late fee automatically. The charge is calculated and presented right at the POS return step, so it is collected on the spot instead of being lost.
Complete Reserve-To-Return Workflow
Every rental moves through a clear lifecycle: reserved, picked up, returned, or overdue. A colour-coded dashboard and list view show every unit's exact state and due date at a glance.
Staff Availability Checker
A dedicated wizard lets counter and phone staff query free units for any date range instantly, answering whether a unit is free next weekend before committing a booking.
Multi-Unit Inventory Tracking
Rentable products track a configurable unit count, minimum rental days, and deposit amount, so availability and booking are counted per physical unit, not just per product.
Rent And Return Buttons Built Into POS
Dedicated Rent and Returns controls sit in the POS product screen, and every point of sale order that includes a rental shows a smart button linking straight to its rental order.
Nightly Overdue Flagging And Stock Release
A scheduled action flags overdue rentals every night so nothing slips through unnoticed, and returned items are released back to available stock automatically so availability always stays accurate.
