The problem
Restaurant servers group dishes by course or guest, salons split services by staff member, and retail counters separate items by department or delivery batch — but standard POS treats every order as one flat list. The structure survives only in the cashier's head or on scribbled notes, causing slow order assembly, kitchen confusion, and disputes when it is time to split the bill.
The solution
A visible Division button on the POS cart lets cashiers create named, nestable divisions in one tap, assign lines to them, and watch each division's own subtotal and discount update live. The structure persists into the backend order record, so it is there for reporting and reconciliation long after checkout.

Named divisions on order lines
Create and name divisions such as "Course 1", "Guest A" or "Delivery Batch 2" to group items the moment they are added to the order.
Assign any line to a division
Every product on the order can be assigned to a chosen division, giving the whole order a clear logical structure.
Nested sub-divisions
Divisions can hold their own sub-divisions, so a table split by guest and then by course is modeled naturally, not forced into one flat layer.
Per-division subtotal and discount
Each division tracks its own running subtotal and can carry its own discount percentage, turning divisions into a real tool for settling a bill, not just a label.
Duplicate-product warning
A clear, non-blocking notice appears the moment the same product lands in more than one division, catching mis-grouping before checkout.
One-tap naming presets
Pre-define reusable division labels such as "Course" or "Guest" so cashiers apply a consistent, auto-numbered grouping in a single tap instead of retyping names.
Grouped view in the POS cart
The cart renders a clear header per division — with a color dot and running total — so the cashier sees the whole order's structure at a glance while building it.
Full backend persistence
Divisions and their amounts save directly onto the order record, with dedicated back-office list and form views for reporting and reconciliation after the sale.

Turn divisions on only where they are needed, and control the duplicate warning and nesting behavior right from the Point of Sale settings.
How it works
Turn it on
Enable divisions for the Point of Sale that needs them from the standard POS settings screen.
Open the panel
Tap the Division button on the cart to open the division panel at any point while building the order.
Group the lines
Pick a preset or name a new division, then assign the selected order line to it in one tap.
Settle with confidence
Watch each division's subtotal update live in the cart, then check out with the full structure saved on the order.
