The problem
Odoo's order-level Shipping Policy ships everything at once or whatever is available for the whole order — it cannot say ‘deliver this specific line the moment it is ready.’ Meal-kit, subscription and BOM-heavy orders mix in-stock items, made-to-order kits and staggered components, so one slow line ends up blocking every other line, forcing manual order splits and ad-hoc backorders.

Picking Per Order Line lets any sale order generate a fully independent delivery for each eligible line, automatically or on demand. Lines ship the moment they are ready, kits stay grouped correctly, quantity edits never spawn a stray return, and related deliveries can be consolidated back into one document whenever the warehouse wants a single transfer to work from.

How it works
Turn it on
Enable per-line delivery from the Inventory settings tile as the default, or toggle it on an individual sale order.
Confirm the order

Shipping Policy still controls when a delivery is ready to process (as soon as possible or all at once). Per-line delivery controls whether each order line gets its own separate delivery document at all. The two settings work together: per-line delivery decides how many deliveries an order has, and Shipping Policy decides how a given delivery treats availability within itself.
