The problem
Every drop-ship, one-off job-site delivery, or marketplace order forces you to create a permanent contact for an address you will only ever use once. Over months this quietly bloats the customer database with hundreds of dead-end delivery contacts that clutter autocomplete, distort reporting, and leave stale personal data sitting around long after the shipment is delivered.
The solution
One-time Delivery Contact gives every one-off address its own capture, preview, and confirm flow right on the sales order. Confirmed addresses are archived automatically, kept out of the normal address book, and stay fully searchable, reusable, and governed with a configurable retention purge.

Capture on the sales order
A dedicated Delivery Address tab lets order-entry staff type the recipient's name, street, ZIP, city, state, country, and phone without leaving the order.
Preview before you commit
A live address preview and non-blocking ZIP format warning let you catch a typo before anything is created.
Confirm, edit, or undo
Confirm creates the archived contact and attaches it as the order's shipping address; Edit lets you correct it, Undo reverts to the customer's normal delivery address.
Automatic address archiving
Confirmed one-time addresses are created as inactive contacts so they never show up in the customer's normal address book or autocomplete.
Postal-code validation
Confirm is blocked if the ZIP does not match the expected pattern for the selected country, covering the US, UK, Canada, and major EU formats.
Duplicate detection & reuse
Matching archived addresses are detected automatically, with a one-click "Reuse this address" action instead of creating a near-duplicate record.
Searchable management view
A dedicated list and form let you search, filter, and review every one-time address ever captured, long after it is archived.
Per-customer delivery history
A smart button on the customer form shows the count of one-time deliveries for that customer and opens their full history.
Bulk import & auto-purge
Import a batch of addresses from a text list, and let a configurable daily retention job purge stale archived addresses automatically — skipping any still linked to an order.
