Open the wizard from the Journal Entries list, or start from Accounting > Journal Reset.
Refine and preview
Filter by date, amount, journal, or account, then review the exact target set and totals before committing.
Confirm and execute
Confirm the hard gate and run the reset or cancel; locked entries are skipped and recorded, never silently bypassed.
Audit or undo
Review the resulting batch record with full details, or roll it back in one click if something needs to be reverted.

No. Entries protected by a hash, lock date, cash-basis handling, or a pending cancel request are never force-reset. They are recorded as skipped with the reason, and the rest of the batch still completes.
