The problem
Granting portal access is a manual, record-by-record chore: open the contact, trigger Grant Portal Access, confirm the email, repeat. There is no way to do it automatically on creation, no way to convert fifty contacts at once, and no way to tell who already has a login without opening every record.
The solution
This module grants portal (or internal) access the instant a contact is created, with a one-click toggle for existing contacts and a bulk wizard for converting many at once — complete with role templates, duplicate protection, a transparent per-record dashboard, and lifecycle sync that keeps access in step with the contact record.

Automatic Access on Creation
Turn on one setting and every new contact — created by hand, imported via CSV, or synced from another flow — gets portal or internal access automatically, filtered by scope and template rules.
Bulk Creation with Live Reporting
Select any number of existing contacts and run the bulk wizard to convert them all at once. Every run opens a dashboard showing exactly which contacts succeeded, which were skipped, and why.
One-Click Undo
Made a mistake in a bulk run? Revert the entire batch from its dashboard and archive every user it created — no hunting down individual records.
Duplicate-Safe Grants
Before creating a login, the module checks for an existing active user or a colliding email and skips it with a clear reason instead of risking a duplicate account.
Portal Status at a Glance
A status badge on the contact list and form shows who already has access — portal, internal, or none — with filters and group-by so staff never have to open a record just to check.
Role-Based Access Templates
Define reusable templates that bundle an access level and extra security groups, and auto-match them to contacts by company type or tag so bulk-created users land with the right permissions.
Portal or Internal Access
Choose whether a contact becomes a portal user or a full internal user, per creation or per bulk run, so the module fits both customer-facing and staff onboarding.
Lifecycle Sync
Archiving a contact automatically archives its portal users; restoring the contact reactivates them. Deleting a contact deactivates its login first, so no active access is ever left orphaned.
Full Audit Trail
Every grant, revoke, and reactivation is logged with who triggered it, when, and through which channel — auto, manual, bulk, or lifecycle — for compliance and troubleshooting.
How it works
Configure Once
Turn on auto-create in Settings, choose the default access level, scope, and whether to send a welcome invite.
New Contacts Get Access
From then on, every new contact created manually or imported gets portal or internal access automatically, based on your scope and template rules.
Convert Existing Contacts
Select any contacts from the list, run the bulk wizard, and review a transparent per-record dashboard of what happened.
Stay in Sync
Archiving, restoring, or deleting a contact keeps its portal access in step automatically, with every action recorded in the audit trail.
