Odoo gives you one contact slot per document, so that detail gets buried in a note or a chatter message. Contact Person & Notify Party adds a primary contact, additional contacts, and separate notify parties to sale orders, purchase orders, and invoices. Picks are scoped to the customer's own contacts, validated automatically, suggested from prior orders, and printed straight onto the PDF the customer reads.

How it works
Pick the customer
Select the customer or vendor on a sale order, purchase order, or invoice; the contact person fields instantly narrow to that partner's own contacts.
Add contacts and notify parties
Choose a primary contact, add extra contacts for approvers or receivers, and list separate notify parties for shipment updates.
Confirm or post
Confirming the order or posting the invoice automatically subscribes the contacts as followers and notifies them by chatter and email.
Print, filter, reassign
The contact prints on the PDF automatically; group by contact person in any list, or bulk-reassign it across many orders in one action.
