The problem
Shared barcode scanner logins are fast to deploy but erase individual accountability. When a mispick, shrinkage event, or audit question comes up, there is no reliable record of which employee actually performed the action — only the shared account everyone used.
The solution
Add a personal PIN on top of the existing shared login. Each worker authenticates once per shift on a warehouse-optimized keypad, then every scan, transfer validation, and manual record edit is attributed to them automatically and logged to a report-ready audit trail.
