Know your cash position before it runs short
A forward-looking, direct-method cash flow forecast built on real bank balances, open invoices and bills, and the sales and purchase pipeline you already keep in Odoo — with scenario modeling, shortfall alerts, and account mapping that never fails silently.
The problem
Odoo's native cash flow statement is backward-looking, accrual-based, and hard-coded. It cannot project forward, cannot model when an invoice actually turns into cash, and cannot be reshaped to match how your business thinks about liquidity — so finance teams rebuild the forecast in Excel every month just to answer one question: how much cash will we have next week?
The solution
Treasury & Cash Flow Management adds a rolling, direct-method forecast on top of the data already in Odoo — bank balances, open AR/AP, the sale and purchase pipeline, recurring obligations, and one-off adjustments — with a guided mapping dashboard that flags every unmapped account before a report ever runs.
Everything a forward cash forecast needs
Every capability below is implemented in the module.
Rolling Cash Forecast
Day, week, or month buckets that start today and run forward, combining your starting bank balance with every source of expected cash movement into one running balance.
Shortfall Alerts
Each forecast flags the exact bucket where projected cash turns negative, so a shortfall is visible days or weeks in advance, not on the day it hits.
Scenario Modeling
Best, expected, and worst-case scenarios apply adjustable collection-rate and payment-slippage factors to the same forecast, so outcomes can be compared side by side.
Guided Account Mapping
A dedicated dashboard walks through mapping every GL account to a cash flow line, so nothing is silently excluded from a report.
Configurable Categories
Cash flow categories and lines are records you can add, rename, and reorder, so the forecast structure matches how your business groups cash instead of a hard-coded chart.
Multi-Source Pipeline
Open invoices and bills, confirmed sales orders, purchase orders, recurring payments, and manual adjustments all feed the same forecast, each with its own independent toggle.
Daily Cash Snapshots
A scheduled job records cash, receivables, payables, and net position every day, building a historical trend automatically with no manual entry.
Recurring & One-Off Entries
Rent, payroll, and loan payments are modeled as recurring schedules; one-time events like tax payments or loan draws are entered as dated adjustments, kept separate for clarity.
Reconciliation Matching Wizard
Enter a bank amount and get ranked candidate invoices and bills to match against it, with a one-click button to open the exact source document.
How it works
Map Your Accounts
Use the guided dashboard to assign every relevant GL account to a cash flow line; unmapped accounts are flagged before any report runs.
Configure the Forecast
Pick a horizon and bucket size — day, week, or month — then toggle which sources feed it: invoices, bills, orders, recurring payments, and adjustments.
Compute & Review
Run the forecast to see a day-by-day running balance, drill into any bucket's entries, and spot flagged shortfall days immediately.
Compare & Reconcile
Apply best, expected, and worst-case scenarios side by side, then use the reconciliation wizard to match incoming bank amounts against open invoices and bills.

No — it adds a forward-looking, direct-method forecast alongside it. The native indirect-method statement in Accounting is unaffected and still available.
