The problem
Odoo's stock signup form has no way to display legal terms, require active agreement, or store proof that a user consented at a given time. Businesses onboarding customers through Website, eCommerce, or Portal cannot prove consent was given, cannot re-collect agreement when policies change, and have no built-in way to gather the demographic data some jurisdictions require.
The solution
This module adds a required acceptance checkbox to the signup form, backed by admin-authored, versioned Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy documents. Every acceptance is logged with its policy version, timestamp, source, and IP address — giving compliance officers a verifiable audit trail, plus optional birthdate age-gating and gender capture that auto-populates the contact record.

Enforced Acceptance
A required checkbox blocks signup until the visitor has accepted both the Terms & Conditions and the Privacy Policy.
Timestamped Audit Trail
Every acceptance is recorded with the policy version, timestamp, source, and IP address — proof you can produce on demand.
Policy Versioning
Every edit to a published policy creates a new version snapshot, so you always know exactly what a user agreed to and when.
Smart Re-consent
When a policy version changes, returning users are prompted to re-consent at login — optional or required, your choice.
Readable Long Policies
Terms display in a scrollable panel with a scroll-progress indicator and a full-text review link, so long policies stay readable.
Birthdate & Age Gating
Collect birthdate at signup with format validation, and optionally enforce a configurable minimum signup age.
Optional Gender Field
Toggle gender collection on or off independently, respecting privacy-minimizing deployments that don't need it.
Auto-sync to Contact
Captured birthdate and gender flow straight onto the linked customer record — no manual re-entry.
Single-location Settings
All consent, demographic, and display controls live in one dedicated Settings panel, not buried in General Settings.

Enable & Author Policies
Turn on consent enforcement and write your Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy with rich-text formatting.
Publish & Configure
Publish the policies, then set the minimum age and toggle demographics and login re-consent from Settings.
Visitor Signs Up
The visitor reviews the terms, checks the acceptance boxes, fills in the optional fields, and submits.
Consent Recorded
A timestamped consent entry is logged, and re-consent is prompted automatically whenever the policy version changes.
