The problem
Odoo's native website snippets are generic text-and-image blocks with no news-specific presets, so every announcement, alert, or notice is styled from a blank canvas. The one paid alternative on the market adds styling controls but ships no ready-to-use templates, little guidance, and no way to stage a draft before it reaches visitors.

News Snippets ships a ready-to-use template library — Announcement Bar, Alert Banner, and Notice Card — plus a dynamic News Feed snippet backed by a real backend model with Draft/Published states, one-click Duplicate as Draft versioning, and per-item impression and click analytics.

Alert Banner preset
A high-visibility banner preset for service disruptions or time-sensitive notices, editable with the same inline builder tools as any native Odoo snippet.
Notice Card preset
A card-style preset for legal notices, product launches, or blog-style highlights, ready to place and edit without custom CSS.
Dynamic News Feed snippet
A model-backed snippet that renders only published news items on the page it is dropped on — draft items stay hidden until you publish them.
Dedicated News snippet group
All four snippets are registered in their own News group in the website builder's Blocks panel, so editors find them alongside native Odoo blocks.
Backend news management
Kanban, list, and form views for News Items with category and state badges, image, and an HTML body — manage every announcement from one screen.
Draft, publish, duplicate-as-draft
Each News Item moves through a Draft to Published workflow with a status bar, and a one-click Duplicate as Draft button stages a safe revision without touching the live version.

Every News Feed render counts an impression and every click-through is tracked server-side, with a click-through rate computed per item so editors can see what resonates.
Graph & pivot reporting
