The problem
Onboarding users one at a time through the standard user form is slow and error-prone, and it does not scale to a migration, an acquisition, or a seasonal hiring surge. Odoo's generic import can create users but does not gracefully handle passwords, user types, or access-group resolution by name — a malformed spreadsheet either fails opaquely or silently creates broken accounts, so admins fear bulk imports because one bad row can corrupt an entire batch with no clear way to see what went wrong.
