The problem
Many2one dropdowns ship with fixed behavior: the same Create and Search more links on every field, a hard-coded suggestion count, and search limited to a single display name. Toggle create, quick-create, create-and-edit, and open-record links per field or per model, with an optional message explaining why an option is blocked.
Dropdown result limits
Choose Compact, Standard, or Generous presets, or set a custom limit, with an automatic performance warning when the effective limit runs high.
Custom option labels
Rename “Create”, “Create and edit...”, “Search more...”, “Start typing...”, and “No records” per configuration, in any language.
Multi-field name search
Let users find records by phone, email, or any extra field — not just the display name — with optional highlighting of the matched text.
Record filtering with preview
Narrow dropdown choices with built-in presets (active only, customers, vendors, companies, individuals, internal users, employees) or a custom domain, and preview how many records match before saving.
Per-field or per-model scope
Apply a rule to one specific field or to every many2one on a model, with sequence-based priority when several rules could apply to the same field.
Role-based access
Restrict a configuration to selected user groups, or leave it open to everyone; unmatched users simply see standard Odoo behavior.
Instant revert
Archive a configuration to fall back to default behavior immediately — no need to delete it, and no code to touch.
Full audit trail
Every change to a configuration is tracked in the chatter, showing who changed what and when.
