Governed emission ledger
Every emission moves through a Draft → Submit → Review → Approve workflow, with bulk approval and a full audit trail on every change.
Carbon lock date
A company-wide close date, independent of the fiscal lock, blocks edits to closed periods and offers a manager unlock-exception path for genuine corrections.
Versioned factor library
Emission factors are organized by Scope, year and jurisdiction (Global, UK, EU, US) with optional CO2/CH4/N2O breakdown and a one-click carry forward to the next year.
Purchase & vendor-bill capture
Draft emissions are created automatically on PO confirmation or bill posting (your choice), with a "No Factor" warning badge on the order line the moment a gap appears — before you confirm, not after.
Expense & fleet fuel capture
Expense sheets create linked emissions on approval; fleet service types flagged as fuel events turn refuelling logs into Scope 1 records automatically, with quantity and factor captured on the log.
Product & category mapping
One visible precedence rule — product factor overrides category factor overrides category default — replaces the scattered, unclear mapping rules competing apps leave you to guess at.
Reduction targets
Set a baseline year and a target year, and watch actual CO2e against the plan with an on-track / at-risk / achieved / missed status computed automatically from approved emissions.
Carbon offset register
Track offset purchases against VCS, Gold Standard or CDM registries, with certificate reference, vintage year and a Draft → Purchased → Retired lifecycle, in the same app as your emissions.
Supplier ESG scoring
Score suppliers on Environmental, Social and Governance criteria, get an automatic risk band, and see their Scope 3 CO2e rolled up from your own approved emissions — on the partner record itself.
