The problem
Banking and legal rules in India, francophone Africa, Madagascar, the Gulf and much of Latin America require financial totals printed in words as well as figures, but Odoo does not do this natively. The apps in this category typically cover only one or two document types each, rely on machine translation that mangles financial terminology, skip regional numbering like Indian lakh/crore, and mishandle credit notes by spelling the raw total instead of the amount due — so teams end up buying and stitching together several narrow apps just to cover invoices, orders and payments.
The solution
One module spells out the total on invoices, credit notes and vendor bills, sales orders and quotations, purchase orders and RFQs, and payments, receipts and vouchers — activated from a single master switch with every document on by default. Language is chosen automatically from the customer or vendor profile using curated financial-terminology dictionaries, currency and Indian lakh/crore numbering are fully supported, credit notes spell the correct amount due, and a preview wizard shows the result before it reaches a live document.
