The problem
Odoo's native putaway rules place stock by product or category but have no idea whether the target location can actually hold it — Odoo itself states that volume and weight capacity require customization. The result is overfilled bins, misrouted receipts, finished goods dumped in a default zone, and pickers hunting for stock that should be somewhere it isn't.

Putaway Rules & Storage Capacity extends Odoo's own placement engine with quantity, volume, weight and height limits, configurable warning and block thresholds, and route- and ABC-aware rule matching — then adds a live capacity dashboard, a placement preview, a bulk rule wizard, an audit log and finished-goods putaway for manufacturing. Capacity becomes a first-class input to every placement decision.
