Inventory Freeze & Adjustment Control holds stock movement inside the scope of an active count while sales, purchases, and the rest of the business keep running — so every physical count stays accurate.
The problem
A stock count is only accurate if nothing moves while it is running. Native Odoo has no way to hold transfers during a count, so a picking ships mid-count and the resulting adjustment silently reintroduces the exact mismatch the count was meant to fix — and telling staff to stop moving anything halts order intake too.
The solution
Start a freeze scoped to a warehouse, location, category, or product. Any transfer inside that scope is held automatically and logged, while sales and purchase orders keep confirming. Validate the count and every held picking releases on its own, with an email letting the warehouse know.

Freeze an entire warehouse, a single location, a product category, or one product — count only what needs counting while the rest of the warehouse keeps moving.
Automatic Movement Hold
Any stock transfer that falls inside an active freeze’s scope is held automatically the moment it is created, so nothing slips through mid-count.
Sales & Purchase Orders Stay Open
Order-takers keep confirming sales and purchase orders during a freeze; only the resulting picking is queued, so the front office never stops.
Full Audit Log
Every blocked, held, released, and validated action is written to a reviewable log with the reason, giving managers a transparent record instead of a silent block.
Manager Dashboard
A kanban dashboard shows every freeze session with its held-transfer count and an overdue highlight, so the state of every count is visible at a glance.
Warning Deadline & Auto-Unfreeze Failsafe
Configure a deadline that flags an overdue freeze with an activity reminder, plus an optional automatic unfreeze after a set number of hours so a forgotten count can never permanently block the warehouse.
Apply Counted Quantities on Validation
Optionally apply the counted quantities straight from the freeze record when validating, turning the count directly into the inventory adjustment.
Freeze Banners on Sales & Purchase Orders
A visible banner on the order form warns staff the moment a confirmed order’s products fall inside an active freeze, so nobody is confused about a delayed delivery or receipt.
Completion Email Notification
When a freeze is validated, held pickings are released automatically and the responsible warehouse staff receives an email so nobody has to poll the system.
How it works
Start a freeze
Pick a scope — warehouse, location, category, or product — and start the count. Any already-open transfers in scope are held immediately.
Orders keep flowing
Sales and purchase orders keep confirming as normal; new transfers inside the freeze scope are queued and logged automatically.
Validate the count
Optionally apply the counted quantities, then validate. Every held and released transaction stays in the audit log.
Pickings release automatically
Queued pickings are created and reserved the instant validation completes, and the responsible team gets an email confirming the freeze is over.
