How it works
Compute the snapshot
Pick a cut-off date and compute locks in both ledgers' open balances, converted into the pair's reconciliation currency.
Review matches and exceptions
Accept, reject or split the proposed matches, and assign owners, severities and due dates to every open difference.
Confirm the position
Confirm locks the snapshot and the net position, with single-sided or two-sided confirmation depending on the pair's risk policy.
Settle and eliminate
Generate draft settlement and consolidation elimination entries, then review and release them on your own schedule.

No. The module works whether native Inter-Company Transactions is configured or not. When it is enabled, matching uses it directly; when it is not, the engine falls back to a transaction-date, amount and reference heuristic with a configurable tolerance.
