The only native workaround — configuring an empty "phantom" first BoM — is undocumented and a frequent source of misconfiguration.

Review and adjust
Planners open the draft MO to swap the BoM, edit components and quantities, or check the impact preview before committing.
Confirm with confidence
Confirm the MO when it is ready, or use the safe Mark as Done wizard to close it out with a reviewed impact summary.
