Pass/fail, measurement and text checks, each flaggable as mandatory. Measurements validate against a configured min/max range, and an inspection cannot be marked done while a mandatory check is still pending.
A workflow that matches real work
Draft, In Progress, Done and Cancelled states — with an explicit in-progress step so a half-finished checklist is visible and resumable — tracked on a shared kanban board and a decorated list view.
Inline photo evidence
Attach a photo directly to the checklist line it documents, and review every photo for the inspection in one consolidated gallery — no separate attachments tab to dig through.
Structured damage reporting
Record scratches and dents as their own entries — location, severity and photo — tied to the inspection, so disputes over who caused what are settled by evidence, not memory.
Inspector and client signatures
Capture a digital signature from the inspector and, separately, the client — authenticating who performed and who accepted the inspection on a vehicle handover.
