The problem
Odoo Events caps ticket quantity at 9 per order, offers only one overall seat limit, and has no waitlist. When an event sells out, the registration form simply disappears — interested attendees hit a dead end and the organizer loses the demand signal entirely. Organizers who want to stop seat hoarding have no way to cap how many tickets one person can take.

Set per-attendee, per-ticket-type and per-order limits — including raising the native 9-ticket cap — then let a built-in waitlist catch every sold-out event. When a seat frees up, the next waitlisted person is promoted and emailed automatically, with their position visible the whole time.
