The problem
The EU's Digital Product Passport regulation requires manufacturers to prove a product's composition, carbon footprint and lifecycle history on a per-serial basis. That data already lives in Odoo — scattered across bills of materials, lot tracking and logistics — but turning it into an auditable, consumer-facing passport means hours of manual configuration, with no guidance on whether the result is actually regulation-ready.
The solution
This app assembles the passport automatically from data you already have. A recursive BOM rollup computes per-unit carbon footprint, a guided onboarding wizard gets a new company to its first passport in one sitting with sensible defaults, and every passport is organized around the EU DPP's own compliance categories — so you can see, and prove, regulatory coverage at a glance.

How it works
Accept the Defaults
Run the Setup Guide wizard to enable serial tracking and BOMs, and accept (or override) the default grade bands and seed emission-factor library.
Issue a Passport
Pick a serialized lot. The recursive BOM rollup computes the carbon footprint automatically, and validation blocks issuance until every factor is set.
Share It
A QR code, public mobile page, printable label and sale-order/portal link make the passport instantly reachable by customers and auditors.

No. The app provides a cradle-to-gate carbon estimate built from your bill of materials, configured emission factors and manual logistics entries — not a certified ISO life-cycle assessment. Companies that need formal LCA certification should continue to use a specialized tool for that purpose.
