The problem
Odoo's Aged Receivable and Aged Payable reports lock every business into the same rigid 30/60/90-day buckets. Construction firms with 90/180/365-day retention schedules, wholesalers on 45- or 60-day terms, and companies doing quarterly arrears analysis are stuck exporting to Excel and rebuilding the aging buckets by hand every single period.
The solution
Define named, reusable aging templates with your own ascending day boundaries, validated automatically, and assign a different template to Receivable and Payable independently. Set it up once from Accounting Settings, then open the live report with one click to confirm the totals before you rely on them.

Non-Uniform Bucket Templates
Define four ascending day boundaries per template, for example 90/180/270/365, instead of Odoo's fixed uniform 30-day steps.
Independent Receivable and Payable
Assign a different aging template to the Aged Receivable and Aged Payable reports, since customer and vendor terms rarely match.
Named, Reusable Templates
Save templates once, like Construction 90/180/270/365 or Standard 30/60/90/120, and reuse them across every reporting period.
Built-In Validation
Bucket boundaries are checked for exactly four values, strictly ascending and strictly positive before they are ever saved, so malformed intervals never reach a reported number.
Self-Service Setup
Everything is configured with plain form fields in Accounting Settings — no code, no SQL, no developer needed.
One-Click Live Preview
The Set Active & Open Report button applies the template and opens the live Aged report immediately, so you can verify the totals before you commit.
How it works
Create a Template
Go to Accounting > Configuration > Aging Interval Templates and add a name plus four ascending day boundaries.
Choose Receivable or Payable
Set the template's report type so it is available for the right report, or both.
Assign It in Settings
Pick the active template for Aged Receivable and Aged Payable independently from Accounting Settings.
Open and Verify
Click Set Active & Open Report to apply the template and see the live report with your custom bucket headers.
