Scouting and weather, finally traceable to every crop
Record five-spot pest, disease, and weed counts in the field, log daily and hourly weather against the same crop, and see scouting, weather, and yield together instead of guessing what happened weeks later.
The problem
Field scouts capture pest, disease, and weed counts on paper or by memory while weather gets logged in a separate tool, if at all. When a crop underperforms, nobody can reconstruct what the weather did when the problem started, so the same mistakes repeat every season. Existing Odoo apps sell scouting and weather as two separate purchases that never share a crop record.
The solution
Crop Scouting & Farm Weather Records puts five-spot sample counting, geo-tagged photo observations, daily/hourly/period weather logging, and configurable alert thresholds against the same crop in one module. Open any crop and see its full scouting history, weather events, and yield together, with one-click PDF reports for the field and the office.
Everything a field team needs in one place
Every capability below is implemented in the module.
Unified Scouting & Weather per Crop
Every scouting visit and weather record links to the same crop, closing the gap left by single-purpose scouting-only or weather-only apps.
Five-Spot Sampling with Auto Pressure Scoring
Capture counts at five sample spots for insects, diseases, weeds, and plant population; totals, averages, and a pest/disease pressure reading compute automatically.
Geo-Tagged, Photo-Backed Observations
Record where each sample spot was taken and attach a field photo of the pest, disease, or weed found, the evidence every competitor leaves out.
Daily, Hourly & Period Weather Logging
Log a daily weather summary, drill into hour-by-hour readings, or review morning/afternoon/evening/overnight periods, whichever level of detail a day needs.
Configurable Alert Thresholds per Crop
Set heat, cold, frost, and heavy-rain thresholds per crop type, with email and in-app notifications sent the moment a weather record crosses the line.
Health-Impact Assessment & Mitigation
Generate heat stress, UV exposure, cold stress, and respiratory risk assessments from a weather record in one click, each with driver and mitigation guidance, protecting field workers.
Full Scouting & Weather Workflow States
Draft, Confirmed, In Progress, and Done states with timestamps and user tracking make every scouting visit and weather record auditable.
Yield Correlation & Decision Traceability
Expected and actual yield live on the crop record, right beside the smart buttons that open its full scouting and weather history, so a season can finally be reviewed as a whole.
One-Click PDF Reports for Scouting & Weather
Print farmer-formatted scouting and weather reports with header facts, observation tables, period/hourly tables, and health-impact summaries.
How it works
Set up fields & crops
Create farm fields and crop types with their alert thresholds, then open a crop record for the season.
Walk the field & record observations
Log a scouting visit with five-spot counts, photos, and GPS references per category, straight from a phone or tablet.
Log weather & confirm
Record the day's temperatures and rainfall, confirm the record, and let threshold-crossing conditions raise an alert automatically.
Review traceability & print reports
Open the crop to see scouting history, weather events, and yield together, then print a PDF report for the field or the office.
