How it works
Open the case
A coding case is created for the admission with patient, dates and coder; the clinical note is entered or pasted in alongside it.
Code the encounter
Search the ICD-10 library by code, name or clinical phrasing, accept a suggested code from the note, or apply a bulk template — assigning primary/secondary diagnoses and procedures with POA and comorbidity flags.
Resolve warnings
Case-mix index and estimated reimbursement update live; any missing primary, duplicate code or payer-rule violation shows as a warning, and an ambiguous note can be escalated as a query to the clinician.
Confirm and report
Once warnings clear, confirm and complete the case; the audit trail is kept in the chatter, and coder productivity and denial root-cause stay visible on the reporting views.
