Help visitors find the nearest store

A mobile-first website store locator for Odoo: an interactive map, distance-ranked "nearest first" results, timezone-aware "open now" badges, stacked filters and one-tap directions — all from a single location list.

The problem

Most store finders just drop every pin on a map and leave a flat list of addresses beside it. Visitors have to eyeball which branch is closest, guess whether it is open, and click through page after page — so many give up, especially on a phone.

The solution

A genuine discovery experience: results ranked nearest-first with live distances, an "open now" badge on every card, stacked type and service filters, and one-tap directions — served on OpenStreetMap or Google Maps, your choice.

Capabilities

Everything a store finder should do

Every capability below is implemented in the module.

01

Interactive Map

Every location is placed on a zoomable map with pins. OpenStreetMap works out of the box, and an admin can switch to Google Maps — provider choice inside one app, no lock-in.

02

Nearest-First Results

Once the visitor's position is known, the list is sorted closest-to-farthest with a live distance label on each result — no more judging distance by eye.

03

Timezone-Aware Open Now

Each location carries weekly opening hours and its own timezone, so an "open now" badge is computed correctly wherever the store — and the visitor — happens to be.

04

Stacked Filters

Visitors combine store type, services and amenities, and open-now status in a single panel, and the map and list update live — not the one-category filter competitors settle for.

05

Radius & Text Search

Search by city or postal code, or cap results to a chosen "within X km" radius so the list stays focused on locations that are actually reachable.

06

One-Tap Directions

Every store card shows the address, hours, phone and email, plus a "Get directions" action that hands off straight to the visitor's native maps app.

07

Central Management

Manage every branch, dealership or service center from one location list, with automatic address geocoding so admins never hand-enter latitude and longitude.

08

Publish & Bulk Import

Load dozens of locations from a spreadsheet at once, and publish or unpublish each one so only the branches you want appear on the website.

09

Mobile-First Layout

Choose a sidebar list-plus-map or a full-screen map layout. Both are fully responsive, with a clear geolocation permission flow built for on-the-go "near me" searches.

Workflow

How it works

1

Add Locations

Create or bulk-import your stores; addresses are geocoded automatically.

2

Configure

Pick map provider, layout, default map view and search radius.

3

Publish

Publish the locations you want live and the /stores page is ready.

4

Visitors Find You

Shoppers see the nearest open branch and tap through for directions.

Questions

Frequently asked

No sales fog. If your question isn't here, email us and we'll answer it the same way.

No. The locator uses OpenStreetMap by default, so it works with no key and no billing. If you prefer Google Maps, switch the provider in settings and add your key — both live in the same app.
