The problem

Out of the box, every Sales user can see every customer, quotation, sales order and invoice in the company. Reps browse each other's accounts, pricing and margins, and admins have no safe way to fence off territories without hand-building record rules — then no way to confirm the restriction actually holds.

The solution

Assign customers to one or more salespeople and the same boundary follows through to their orders and invoices, in every list, form and dropdown. Managers keep an explicit full-view override, and a built-in access report proves exactly what each rep can see.

Restrict customers to their assigned salesperson across the list view, form view, and every customer selector dropdown — there is no picker left open to route around the fence.

Assign more than one salesperson to a single customer for primary-and-backup coverage or shared territories, without breaking the restriction model.

Sales Order Scoping
