Pricelist access, controlled from one screen
Decide exactly which pricelists each user, group, customer or salesperson may apply — with a central access matrix, bulk assignment, time-limited access and an audit trail of every applied pricelist.
The problem
By default every sales user can apply any pricelist. A rep can drop a distributor tier onto a retail order and erase margin, and finance has no record of who applied which pricelist to which order. Existing apps restrict by user or by customer, sold separately, configured one record at a time, with no view of who can see what.
The solution
One module that governs user, group, customer and salesperson access together. A single access matrix shows who can see what, bulk assignment removes the per-record grind, and every applied pricelist is logged. Enforcement is server-side, so a restricted pricelist cannot slip back in through the API or order confirmation.

User & Group Restriction
Assign the set of allowed pricelists to individual users and to whole user groups, so each rep only ever sees the tiers they are cleared to apply.
Customer Restriction
Whitelist which customers a pricelist may be applied to, so an account only ever transacts on its authorised tier — user and customer control in one module, not two purchases.
Pricelist Access Matrix
A single editable grid lists every pricelist against its allowed users, groups and customers, so an admin can see and change all access from one screen.
Bulk Assignment
Grant or revoke pricelists across many users or many customers in a single action from a wizard, instead of editing records one by one.
Salesperson Restriction
Optionally have restriction follow the order's salesperson rather than the logged-in user, for back-office staff who quote on a rep's behalf.
Explicit Empty-State Policy
You choose what an unrestricted pricelist means: visible to everyone (default, safe to install) or visible only to managers. No silent ambiguity on the empty-assignment edge case.
Time-Limited Access
Give a pricelist a start and end window for promotions and temporary contracts; it disappears automatically outside that window.
Audit Trail
Every pricelist applied to a quotation and every order confirmation is logged with the pricelist, customer, salesperson and the user who did it — the evidence finance needs.
Server-Side Enforcement
Restrictions are filtered in the quotation dropdown, re-checked on write, and re-checked again at order confirmation, so they cannot be bypassed. Managers always retain full access.

Open the audit log to see which pricelist was applied to which order, by whom, and when.
