The problem
The special instructions your sales and purchasing teams type on order lines — engraving notes, handling remarks, QA holds — vanish before they reach the picking. Operators pack and receive blind, phoning back to the office or guessing, which causes mispicks and errors.
The solution
Every sale and purchase order line description flows onto the matching delivery, receipt, and internal transfer, stays in sync when the line changes, and prints on the slip — so the warehouse always sees exactly what sales and purchasing captured.

Sale Order to Delivery
The custom description on each sale order line is copied onto the delivery order and its underlying stock moves, so packers see the same note sales wrote.
Purchase Order to Receipt
Purchase order line descriptions carry onto receipts and inbound transfers, so inbound instructions such as quarantine or inspection notes reach the receiving team.
Prints on the Slip
The transferred description appears on the printed delivery slip and picking operations report, not just the on-screen form — the tangible document operators and customers hold.
Live Re-sync
Edit a sale or purchase order line after the picking exists and the not-yet-done transfer updates automatically, so the warehouse never works from stale text.
Safe Manual Override
A warehouse user can edit the description on the picking. The edit is flagged as manual and is never silently overwritten by a later re-sync.
Source Indicator
Each picking description shows where it came from — Sales, Purchasing, or a manual edit — ending the recurring “which description is this?” confusion.
Fill-Blank-Only Mode
An optional conditional-sync setting fills only empty descriptions and never replaces existing text, giving you control over how aggressively re-sync runs.
Batch Re-sync Wizard
Select many transfers at once and refresh their descriptions from the source orders in one action, with an explicit option to overwrite manual edits when you need to.
One-step and Three-step
Descriptions survive multi-step routing, so the note is present whether you ship in one step or route through pick, pack, and ship.
How it works
Enable Sync
Turn on the sale and purchase toggles in Inventory Settings.
Write the Note
Type the description on the sale or purchase order line as usual.
Confirm the Order
The description lands on the delivery or receipt automatically.
Pick & Print
Operators see and print the note on the picking and slip.
