The problem
Orders routinely need to be broken into several documents — different ship dates, vendors, or warehouses. Native Odoo has no consistent way to do it, so teams duplicate an order, delete lines, and re-key quantities, breaking the audit trail. And every app executes the split the instant you click, revealing the result only after the new documents already exist.
The solution
One consistent wizard on every document. Tick the lines, adjust the quantity to split, watch the live “N of M lines selected” counter, and choose split (remove & move) or extract (duplicate & keep) into a new or existing draft — you see exactly what the split will produce before anything is created, and a history log records every operation.

One Workflow, Every Document

Split Mode — Remove & Move
Move the selected lines into a new document and reduce them on the source. The classic split every competitor offers — here it is the same across all document types.
Extract Mode — Duplicate & Keep
Copy the selected lines into a new document while leaving the source completely untouched — preserving original quantities for audit and forecasting. Both mental models in one app.
New or Existing Destination
Route the selected lines into a brand-new document or append them to an existing draft — decided right at split time, with the target picked from a filtered dropdown.
Per-Line Select & Bulk Toggle
Tick exactly the lines you want, or use one-click Select All / Deselect All to handle large orders in a moment — no need to open line editing.
Live Selection Counter
A real-time “N of M lines selected” indicator updates as you tick, so you always know your progress on long orders — feedback no competing split app provides.
Adjustable Quantity to Split
Set a per-line quantity to move for partial splits, shown against the original quantity. Every value is validated — never zero, never above the source — before anything is created.
Draft Output & State-Aware
Split documents are created in draft so you review them before they trigger warehouse or accounting operations, and the split action is hidden once a document is locked or completed.
Split History & Audit Log
Every split or extract is recorded — who did it, in which mode, from which source into which result document. Browse it from the dedicated menu or the per-document “Splits” smart button.
How it works
Open the Document
On any draft sale order, purchase order, or transfer, click the Split / Extract button in the header.
Pick Lines & Mode
Tick the lines, set quantities, and choose split or extract into a new or existing document.
Confirm the Split
The counter shows what is selected; confirm and the draft result document opens instantly.
Track in History
Every operation is logged and reachable from the Splits smart button on each document.
